Love. Money. Power. Your teen is probably interested in all three. But there are perils to the pursuit of power and the lure of love. And what better way to preview them than with literature? One of the great classics of literature, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, may strike your teen as a musty old manuscript, but it's actually a powerful critique of the rich and beautiful, complete with infidelity, dirty money, and murder. Being a teen is tough, and being forced to read a boring old book can sometimes make it tougher. But learning lessons while knocking something off your reading list? Priceless.
