8 Fun Pool Games

What do a pool, a raft, and a golf club all have in common? Why, they're all the essential ingredients in the game of Aqua Golf! Aqua Golf is a great outdoor activity: players chip balls from the pool-side onto a moving raft to see who can get their shots there first. A kid-friendly rendition of the serious sport, this activity is great for everyone—whether you're a seasoned veteran or just picking up your first club.

What You Need:

  • Pool
  • Golf club
  • Towel
  • Whiffle ball
  • Raft
  • 2 or more kids

What You Do:

  1. Put the raft in the pool.
  2. On the deck of the pool, lay down a towel, and prepare the golf club and the whiffle ball.
  3. To play, have each player take turns chipping the whiffle ball from the towel onto the raft with the golf club.
  4. The first one who gets the whiffle ball to land and stay on the floating raft wins!

Variations: Make this activity more challenging for older children by having one person in the pool create waves as each player hits the ball.

You can also make the game into more of a contest by using more whiffle balls. The objective of the game will then be to have the most whiffle balls on the raft at the end of a 30-second or minute-long time period.
