Combine a golf club, raft and a swimming pool and you’ve got a recipe for some surefire afternoon fun! This game of pool golf will help your kids hone their gross motor skills and it’s a great way to help them channel some of that seemingly endless summer energy.

What You Need:

  • Swimming pool
  • Golf club
  • Whiffle ball
  • Inflatable raft
  • Towel
  • 2 or more friends

What You Do:

  1. Inflate the raft and place it in the swimming pool.
  2. Have your child help you lay down a towel near the pool.
  3. Have each player take a turn trying to chip the whiffle ball onto the raft using the golf club.
  4. The player who gets the whiffle ball to stay on the raft wins the game!

To make the game a little more challenging, have an older child make waves in the water. Or, you can continue playing until someone gets the ball to land and stay on the raft 3 times in a row.
