Punctuate with Pasta!
This year, your second grader will spend lots of time learning about commas, quotation marks, periods, and question marks. Here's a fun activity that will help your child become familiar with punctuation marks, using something straight from the cupboard... pasta!
What You Need:
- Pasta pieces shaped like various punctuation marks, for example: florentine for question marks, elbow macaroni for commas, rzo for quotation marks, spaghetti for exclamation points, small round pasta shapes for periods
- A reading passage from your child's favorite book
