Does your child love playing with money? Make playtime educational by challenging him to a game of money math. Simple and straightforward, this game helps kids practice counting, adding change, and working with decimals.

What You Need:

  • 8 paper cups
  • Black marker
  • Play coins (you can also use real coins if you don't have plastic play ones)

What You Do:

  1. Write a different money value up to $1.00 on each cup with the black marker.
  2. Place the cups on the table in any order in front of your child.
  3. Ask your child to count out coins equal to the number written on the first cup and place the coins in the cup.
  4. Repeat step 3 with the other cups.
  5. Once all the coins have been sorted, challenge him to put the cups in order from least to greatest.
