Does your child love playing with money? Make playtime educational by challenging him to a game of money math. Simple and straightforward, this game helps kids practice counting, adding change, and working with decimals.
What You Need:
- 8 paper cups
- Black marker
- Play coins (you can also use real coins if you don't have plastic play ones)
What You Do:
- Write a different money value up to $1.00 on each cup with the black marker.
- Place the cups on the table in any order in front of your child.
- Ask your child to count out coins equal to the number written on the first cup and place the coins in the cup.
- Repeat step 3 with the other cups.
- Once all the coins have been sorted, challenge him to put the cups in order from least to greatest.
