Transform paper towel tubes into something amazing for imaginary playtime! With the help of some tempera paints and a bit of string, your child will have a great time seeing what he can see with these binoculars.
What You Need:
- Toilet paper tubes
- Tempera paint
- Sting
- Scissors
What You Do:
- Start by inviting your child to paint the toilet paper tubes his favorite color. He can use one single color or create a fun random design.
- While the paint is drying, brainstorm all the things your child will be able to see with his fun binoculars. He can create a list or make some drawings to remind him later.
- Now offer your child some string and invite him to cut a long length, about three feet in length.
- Encourage your child to wrap up the binoculars around the middle working in a figure eight formation, connecting the tubes together to form the binoculars!
Your child can attach an additional length of string to use for a strap when using his finished binoculars!
