Sweet and tangy pickled carrots are a fun way to get in the kitchen and make something special without much fuss or muss. Your child will learn more about the pickling process as well as learn more about what flavors he likes!

What You Need:

  • Water
  • Baby carrots (enough to fill an 8-ounce jar)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon dill
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 8-ounce jar with lid
  • Strainer
  • Saucepan
  • Kitchen towel
