Tic-tac-toe is a great game to keep kids entertained on long car or plane trips, but it can take up a lot of paper and make a big mess in the back seat! Take this timeless game on the road with a homemade tic-tac-toe board that can be used again and again.
What You Need:
- Construction paper
- 4 colored popsicle sticks
- Glue (white school glue or hot glue)
- 6 small objects such as pom poms or buttons to use as game playing pieces, 3 in one color and 3 in another
What You Do:
- Cut a piece of construction paper to 7.5 inches by 8.5 inches.
- Apply glue to two of the popsicle sticks and place vertically and centered onto the paper. Space the sticks approximately 2.5 inches apart.
- Apply glue to the remaining popsicle sticks and place horizontally and centered over the first two popsicle sticks that were affixed. Space the sticks approximately 2. 5 inches apart.
- Allow each player to select his or her game pieces. May the best player win!
