What we like best:
What you should know:
Take one giant leap into learning with this astronomy app guaranteed to pique preschoolers' interest. With four games in one, reading isn't required to have fun—meaning even pre-readers can study space with memory match games or by placing planets in the correct position.
Kids identify, match and spell their way to success, learning the names, appearance and order of the planets before attempting the most dangerous mission of all: the “Black Hole.” Here, children must answer quick quizzes correctly to save the planets from being sucked into the abyss. While all the games are reasonably intuitive, your budding space explorer may find that navigation isn't always easy, and some parental involvement may be needed. The tapping sensitivity seems somewhat flawed also; it typically takes two or more taps to select the right answer.
Although it's not possible to increase the difficulty overall, some games are more challenging than others, so your preschooler will be occupied for plenty of time. Top tip: Start with the names games to learn about each planet, and kids will be less likely to struggle with subsequent sections.
