What we like best:
What you should know:
Dive into the wonderful world of light—bright, bendable, and colorful—with Bobo, the adorable illuminated robot. This innovative app encourages touch and exploration at every turn—from the "touch dial" table of contents to the tangible solar system.
Your little scientist will be spellbound by Bobo's guidance, glowing graphics and a simple interface. Following a Sesame Street-style format, with a single concept taught in tens of ways, Bobo Explores Light is a fun float through the world—or should we say the universe?—of light and the science behind it. Each slide explores a facet of light science—where it comes from, what it's made of, and how we use it here on Earth—with lessons within the lesson accessible with a swipe at the top of the screen. In each of those pull-downs, there are even more lessons to be learned through videos, narration, or just plain and simple text.
Your tour guide is a rolling robot named Bobo, a WALL-E-type character who clowns his way through the app, demonstrating important points and, more often than not, providing comic relief. Bobo Explores Light even offers the chance to take screenshots at certain points in the play—perfect for saving as test review later. All in all, Bobo Explores Light is a fun app that, as all good science lessons should, provokes curiosity.
