What you should know:
Edda and Thor are out to explore the bottom of the ocean in—what else? A yellow submarine! The sea is full of creatures, and these explorer friends need help solving aquatic puzzles under the sea.
Before their adventure begins, little learners must help build their sub by arranging the puzzle pieces into the correct order with an easy drag-and-drop interface. When the vessel is complete, the little explorers are off. Whales, lobsters, sharks and starfish puzzles must be assembled before moving on to the next task. These sea creature puzzles, when completed, earn players stars. When a kid earns five stars, they can be used to “purchase” aquatic critters that children can collect and play with. That's about all that happens here, but it's enough to make this an amusing addition to playtime for preschoolers and below.
Despite the lack of strictly academic content, these underwater games still help children develop critical logic and reasoning skills. The interface for the puzzles themselves is very forgiving, and little learners with pudgy fingers will have no trouble nudging the pieces into place. Cute, modern graphics and a slow pace make this a perfect puzzle app for the preschool set.
