Math Bingo

If it's not broken, don't fix it. It's no secret that using bingo to teach math concepts has been a longtime teacher trick and a hit with the kids. But this app goes above and beyond to improve on the old classic, with engaging interactive elements and game play that will have kids coming back for more.

Choose from addition, subtraction, multiplication or division, and race against the clock to solve the sums. The app places a bug on the bingo board each time children get the right answer, until a line is formed in any direction. Once bingo is reached, kids earn a bug for their collection and to use in “bingo bug bungee,” an addictive slingshot game where bugs collect coins. It's a shame that the coin addition and multiplication sums aren't more expressed so kids can see the working, but it's a small complaint in an app that's outstanding overall.

This game will last for a while—each math function has three levels of difficulty, and the race against the clock element means children can continue to compete against their own times, even once they've mastered the math. This game is a winner: even adults will find it impossible to put down.
