What we like best:
What you should know:
Noteshelf takes the “book” right out of “notebook.” Kids and adults can use this app to organize notes, typed or handwritten, with photo capabilities and plenty of art tools to boot. For simple tasks like keeping a grocery list or writing directions, to extravagant uses like a presentation full of photos or colorful illustrations, this app can do it all.
The app is as fun or as functional as you want it to be. Artistic types will love the various styles of “paper,” the choice of writing tools and colors, and the ability to take a photo with the device, import it to a notebook and write on top of it. But for basic uses, all the bells and whistles don’t get in the way.
Organizing documents is easy, as your notebooks are shown on a virtual bookshelf. The handwriting feature is especially clever, and would come in handy on the go, when typing with two hands isn’t convenient. You can program an area of the screen for “wrist protection,” where you can rest your wrist without marking up the page. The slew of features, intuitive controls and extremely thorough guides to help newbies makes this app a welcome addition to any app library.
