What we like best:
What you should know:
There’s not much kids like better than being noisy, and this app is no exception! Kids will love to bang, drop and hit there way through the chorus of silly sounds Sago Mini Sound Box has to offer.
One potential problem? Those bouncy beeps, honks, barks and other noises are coming from a pricey iPad. At its heart, this app is essentially a virtual sound box toy. Little ones learn about sounds by tapping a menu that includes car and truck sounds, drums, keyboards, dog barks, chimes and more. Tapping fills the screen with brightly colored balls. The imagery and physical action is perfect for tots, but most parents may be reluctant to hand their toddler an expensive device to bash. Still, the concept is cute and the graphics are perky and fun enough to attract and hold a kid’s attention. One of the best things about this app is also one of the worst—kids can tap away endlessly, filling the screen with balls and different sounds over and over again.
Unfortunately, the app doesn’t support fast fingers; tapping too quickly causes it to crash. This app is free and fun for kids, but parents may want to think twice before allowing their children to (literally) bring the noise.
