What we like best:

This simple app targets a crucial math skill and lets kids practice until they get it right.

Pop-up ads sometimes appear in the middle of a quiz and look like they're part of the game; pressing them takes kids to the app store.
Full Review:

How do you get to be multiplication whiz? Practice, practice, practice! Times Table Quiz! Multiplication Trainer is true to its name—it keeps on quizzing endlessly.

The game launches straight into multiplication madness. The quiz format is super simple and children will catch on right away. A problem appears on the "chalkboard" and kids choose from multiple-choice answers. When a problem is solved correctly, little learners rack up points. All the problems involve multiplication from 2 x 2 to 12 x 12. The app increases in difficulty the more you practice, but the range of problems is limited. Once you have the tables from 2 to 12 down, there's nowhere to go. Speed is encouraged and gives a sense of urgency to find solutions fast. You can't go back or skip problems, although problems that are answered incorrectly will repeat until the player gets it right.

There are no distractions (aside from the ads). The clean, crisp interface and emphasis on testing allows for intense and concentrated practice. The fun factor, however, is low.

Teacher Features:
This app could be great for classroom use as a complement to traditional multiplication drilling.
