What you should know:
Top stuff! So screeches the pirate parrot narrator when kids answer questions correctly in this fun-filled anatomy app. Whack A Bone begins with kids piecing together a skeleton puzzle, complete with a torso, arms and legs out of a pile of bones.
Once players have successfully assembled Harold, the skeleton pirate, they’re challenged to name all of his bones. Wrong answers cause this swashbuckling bag o’ bones to fall apart … literally! Kids must recoup from incorrect choices by putting Harold’s bones in their proper place again. Assembling a human skeleton from scratch and memorizing the proper anatomical names is never easy, but this app makes learning anatomy engaging and addictive. Budding scientists will identify phalanges, carpals, metatarsals and more after hours of practice. Building this bony buccaneer again can get tricky, but gameplay is so engaging that children won’t mind working to put his pieces back together. The drag-and-drop interface is super simple to use and kids are quizzed after each "assembly" to see how fast they can name all the body parts.
