Northwestern University

Northwestern University is a large four-year university in the small city of Evanston, IL. The school is on the quarter calendar system and is a research university with very high research activity. There are 10,636 undergraduate students and 14,117 graduate students at Northwestern University. The freshman class has 2,128 students. Students attend full-time. It is a very selective institution with a low transfer-in rate; 27% of students who apply to Northwestern University are admitted and 31% of those admitted students attend the school. The school has its own library and participates in Title IV federal financial aid programs for those who qualify. Northwestern University is in the Big Ten Conference.
