I had the same problem last year. It is much easier in first grade since most if not all prep material is printed at that level. For your kindergartener, I would suggest that you focus on reviewing beginnning and ending sounds and basic sight words. You can buy really good, leveled sight word flash cards at most Dollar Tree stores, or make your own from a downloaded list. (Just Google the words sight words). For math, reveiw basic number words, matching words to numerals, basic addition and subtraction and least to greatest of items. Again, Dollar Tree (if it is in your area) has an abundance of colorful kiddie booklets on math and reading activities.
In my opinion, the biggest problem my child had was staying focused for such a long time, so anything that may combat that stamina problem will help immensely.
