I just started trying to get students from grades 1-6 to want to enjoy reading.  What is the best approach including incentives?

How wonderful that you are dedicating your time to supporting the efforts of children learning to read and grow their love of reading. There are a number of basic suggestions for helping children develop a love for reading: Read aloud to them, allow them to select books on topics of their choice, and take trips to the library and expose them to the breadth and depth of books available.
