I am a special education teacher and Iam thinking of writing a book for parents on working with the special educators.  It would include interviews of parents of special needs students who have now graduated and are either in sheltered or competitibe employment. These are parents who have been successful advocates for their child but most importantly, accepted them for who they are. I wouldl like to promote a positive connection for parents and educators.  Do you think there is a need for this type of book?

I absolutely KNOW that there is a need for this type of book. I would say to do your research and find out what types of books with your subject matter are already out there and then go from that point. In order to make you book unique you need to create a different spin besides what is already in print for parents. I comment you for your devotion and your commitment to choose to work with this very special group of children and for your desire to make a better connection for their parents and their educators. Good luck and keep me posted on your progress! I’m excited for you!
