Smile,hug, make good eye contact, offer congratulations on a good job whatever it is, thanks for sharing, teach what friends do, prove self worth, star charts, notes home about good days, learning to put on your coat or shoes and being thanked for independent behavior, tell a parent and have them carry the good words home. Pre schoolers thrive on predictability.  Think about the words in the Sesame Street song and you will have a good year.
