How should you approach if you feel the School Report is inaccurate?

My son is in Kindergarten.  He is one of the youngest students.  He is bright and capable.  However, his teachers' assessment/comments on the report are negative two quarters in a row.  I worked as the classroom parent volunteer 3 out of 5 days in order to observe my son so I can judge if the teachers' comments are accurate.  I have observed improvements and growth in my son in the second quarter, however, the teachers only put in negative comments but did not mention any of his improvements in both academic and social development.  I am very surprised, concerned, and frustrated.  Some people may think that it is only a Kindergarten school report....  but it is just not fair to be on his record when the assessments are not accurate.  We enrolled him in other after school activities and he got very positive reports.  Just wondering if any parents have good advice in regarding how to approach this issue.

I would request a conference with the teacher and principal to sit together and discuss your concerns.
