- Analytic Trait Scoring
- Analytic Trait Scoring identifies traits considered essential for success in a particular performance and requires trained raters to score those trait individually. For example, instead of giving a written assignment one grade (A, B, C, etc), there may be six individual scores for ideas, organization, voice, word choice, fluency, and conventions. Together, the six scores build a profile of student performance and helps ensure consistency in the way writing, in this instance, is assessed.
