Appropriations (Institutional Revenues)

Appropriations (Institutional Revenues) are funds other than grants or contracts distributed through a legislative body to an institution. For example, the U.S. Congress is required to distribute institutional revenue funds to the American Printing House for the Blind so that the nonprofit agency can produce materials to support free education for the blind.
