Cargenie Unit

Cargenie unit is a standard of measurement that is used for secondary (traditionally, high school) education. One Carnegie unit is equal to the completion of one course that meets one period each school day for one academic year. Establishing standards of measurement such as the Carnegie unit is helpful to compare school districts across the nation.
