Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF)

The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is a federal block-grant program operated by the Office of Child Care and Head Start. There are four main purposes of the fund: (1) offer child care subsidies for children under 13 years of age; (2) improve on child care quality; (3) develop child care systems; and (4) maintain resource and referral activities. By supporting the Child Care and Development Fund, the federal government has promoted the importance of early child care for child development
