Civic Education

Civic education, broadly speaking, is the discipline of governance theory as it applies to government bodies. Civic education is partly based on the study of democracy and on an exploration of national identity, including issues related to social cohesion and social diversity. Civic education in school can be taught in several different classes: social studies, civics, history, government, global studies, and geography.
