Cognitive Psychology

Branch of psychology concerned with the nature and structure of complex "knowledge processes" (e.g., recognizing, conceiving, judging, and reasoning) and their effects on, or interactions with, behavior -- particularly identified with "information processing" models of human cognition, usually simulated on computers.
