- Progression from earlier to later stages of growth or organization -- includes gradual realization of potential, usually accompanied by advances in size, complexity, efficiency, etc. (Note: Do not confuse with "Change," which refers to alterations, modifications, etc., that are not sequential and progressive -- use a more specific term if possible).
