Financial Dependency

Financial dependency is a clearly defined characterization of a student's financial status that is used to determine eligibility for student aid. Typically a student is named a financial dependent on parent(s) or guardian(s) unless they fall under the category of financial independence. Most students under the age of 24 years old are financially dependent.
