Formal Learning

Formal learning is an adult education program administered by an instructor that provides a college degree, post-degree certificate, vocational degree/diploma, or an apprenticeship certificate upon successful completion of the required courses. A necessary component of formal learning is that the classes and programs pursued are for work-related reasons, such as professional development or employment prerequisites.
