- Free and Appropriate Public Education
- Key mandate of IDEA requiring all eligible children to be provided with educational and related services. Four requirements of the law are that the educational and related services: a) are provided at public expense, under public supervision, and without charge, b) meet the standards of the state board of education (SBOE) and all related laws, c) include preschool, kindergarten, elementary school, and secondary school, and d) are provided in conformity with an individualized education plan (IEP).
