Informed Parental Consent

Parents have the right to decide whether their child will be enrolled in an English Language Learner (ELL) program after learning about the educational options available to the child and the school district's recommendation on the matter. The right of the parents to decide, called Informed Parental Consent, is predicated on the fact that parents should understand the program and alternative options before making a decision.
