IPT (IDEA Oral Language Proficiency Test)

The IDEA Oral Language Proficiency test is a test given as part of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in some K-6 bilingual programs. The test is made of pictures, simple questions, prompts to repeat sentences, and prompts to describe the environment, to encourage the test taker to speak in English. The test will help determine the level of English proficiency of the student, out of six levels from no English language ability to fluency.
