Glossary of Education
- Locus of Control
- The Locus of Control refers to where the control over a task or project is located. For example, if the locus of control is at the student level, then that is called a "student controlled" task. In such an instance, the student has control over how he or she will solve a problem. If the locus of control is at the task level, then that is called "task controlled". When there is a task controlled assignment, students must follow the procedures given to them by the teacher.
