- Newcomer Program
- Newcomer programs are often provided to meet the academic and transitional needs of students who have recently immigrated to the United States. When these new students enter the American education system they often have widely varied educational backgrounds and limited English language skills. Newcomer programs traditionally are offered before students are put in English language development programs or mainstream classrooms.
