Chalk Works "Big Draw" Drawing Machine

Combine the sheer joy of creating jumbo art work, with the cool factor of a handheld gadget, and you'll have some sense of this toy's attraction. Using mini blueprints, kids plot humongous chalk drawings, dot-by-dot. The tool is sort of like a protractor combined with a measuring tape: kids place a dot on a starting line, then following the plan, twist the tool to the indicated letter (which charts angle) and whip the tape out to the required length. Connect the dots and whammo, you've got a nine foot long T-rex or a kid-sized rocket. An artsy way to practice measuring skills on the fly. (Cadaco, $16.65)
