Don

Douglas can’t wait to take his first ever wool hat outside for a test drive. But when his cartwheels get a little too enthusiastic, let’s just say there’s more string on the grass than anticipated. Should he come clean to his dad, or try to fix it? This book, full of vibrant illustrations, feels exuberant and gentle at the same time. A wonderful introduction to the idea that it’s okay to make mistakes, and that telling the truth can bring great rewards. (Tiger Tales, $11.01)
