This classic game is a solid introduction to strategy, and a great way to practice critical thinking skills. Plus, playing with marbles is just plain entertaining. One player moves around a "flock" of 15 white marbles or "geese". The other plays the part of the red marble, or "fox", jumping over them (similar to checkers) in an attempt to capture geese. An attractive travel set, made of solid stained wood, with brass keepers to hold the marbles. Addictive! (Channel Craft, $8.99)
