Get jumbled up with words with this clever board game! Similar to Scrabble, each player is assigned a set of letter tiles to arrange on the board to form words. The difference? Each player fights to claim a stake over a horizontal set of letters by combining their own tiles with the tiles in that row to make a word. The game ends when one player claims all the rows, or finds the jumbalaya—a mish-mash of letters that forms a word vertically. In addition to learning spelling and vocabulary, your child will have to strategize and multitask to get ahead. A great game to get the brain going! (Platypus Games, $21.48)
