These three rodents won't keep you up at night and they won't nibble through your cupboards. What they will do is help teach your newbie knitter the basics. Because this toy was created in England, the language in the directions can be a little hard to follow, so parental supervision is definitely recommended. That said, this is certainly a lot more fun than a scarf, and advanced beginners will be excited to take a crack at it. Knitting is a great life skill, in addition to working fine motor muscles, and these three mice will inspire lots of practice! (The Little Experience, $14.99)
