Mummy Rummy

This game, similar to Gin Rummy, has four color-coded “suits” which players must try to assemble into matching sets. But here’s the twist: these suits are illustrations of Egyptian antiquities. Especially if your child is studying ancient history (as most middle schoolers do), this game is a lively, lighthearted way to explore serious Egyptian artifacts. Get your game on as you bring history to life! A stimulating card game, especially on long holiday evenings. (Gamewright, $7.99)
