Harris Finds His Feet

This is not a book to be rushed through in the mad dash for bedtime. Though it's short, with only a few lines of text on each page, this is a book that should be savored. Beautiful watercolor illustrations sweep across every page, bringing to life the story of Harris, the wild hare, who learns to find his feet. Harris's grandpa shows him how to use his enormous feet to hop into the sky, climb to the tops of mountains, and run very fast. At the end of the book, Grandad finally decides Harris is ready to discover the world on his own, leaving readers with a bittersweet and thoughtful end to this story. Children will connect with this little rabbit's journey of independence, and parents will appreciate the lesson of self-discovery. (Good Books, $16.95)
