Kids not interested in the cuckoo clock? It may be time for a rabbit. This Wi-Fi bunny can tell time, read the news, recite email or RSS feeds, and send messages anywhere in the world. No need to scurry to the computer to get online, this guy connects to your PC through your wireless connection. Like a regular pet, he has a personality (if a slightly robotic one) and your middleschooler will likely get a big kick out of the fact that his friend will do tai chi moves when it's time for bed or belt out his favorite MP3 when it's time to wake up in the morning. Sometimes bunny can be a little buggy, but rotating ears and random Nabcasts, where the rabbit suddenly begins making noise, playing music, or reciting poetry add an element of the unexpected to each rabbit-licious day. A very bizarre but very lovely little guy. And no one has to clean the cage! (Violet, $165)
