The Secret of the Stone Frog

On par with Alice’s Wonderland or Peter Pan’s Neverland, this enchanting story is about a pair of lost siblings searching for the way home through a psychedelic world of giant bees, talking frogs and rabbits that can be ridden like horses! Beautifully illustrated in black and white, little Leah and Alan’s story is told as a graphic novel, making it an excellent choice for visual learners. Make it through the forest, past the giant cherry trees, and then escape the city of faces and you’ll be home just in time for bed. (Toon Books/Candlewick Press, $11.21)
