Both captivating and heartbreaking, this graphic novel is based on true events from the 2009 Iranian election and the violent protests that followed. The narrator is an anonymous blogger who must tip-toe through pillars of corruption in Iran’s government to find out what happened to his brother Medhi, who mysteriously “disappeared” after protesting the outcome of the election. You’ll be on the edge of your seat as you follow him on his journey. Although beautifully illustrated, this graphic novel includes graphic scenes of torture, violence, sexuality and strong language.
