I want someone to tell me that my drawings are beautiful. I want someone to schedule play dates for me with other dads when my wife is away, because I’ve never really been sure how to go about that myself. When I’m tired, I would like to have someone read to me. And I want—no, I demand—a treat for finishing my cauliflower. And I want sprinkles on it.
