Learning First Alliance
About Us
The Learning First Alliance is a partnership of 18 leading education associations with more than 10 million members dedicated to improving student learning in America’s public schools. We believe that education associations must take responsibility for uniting key players in the education field, focusing attention on critical education issues, and using sound research to promote the continual and long-term improvement of public education.
We are committed to learning from and responding to the people who provide public education on a daily basis—the members of Alliance partner organizations. These teachers, principals, administrators, school board members, and parents see the challenges public education faces every day. Many have found ways to successfully raise student achievement and prepare students for lifelong success. Others know change is needed but don’t know where to start reform in a system that seems bigger than they are. The Alliance is dedicated to helping education stakeholders work together to find the most effective ways to respond to local challenges.
