A few words about me...

I am in the dissertation stage of my doctoral program in Assessment, Research, and Evaluation at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.  Respect for the natural world has always been an ingredient in my daily life choices; environmental education has become a focus guiding professional and academic interests.  My research interests are wide-ranging and include the concept of biophilia, nonformal science programs, experiential learning, environmental literacy, environmental education, humane education, and the human-animal bond.  Sharing the excitement of discovery in our natural environment translates into enrichment for everyone – from preschoolers to adults – and builds stewardship and personal empowerment.
