A few words about me...

Dear Parents:  It is my great pleasure to introduce the Reference Desk at education.com. We are devoted to providing you information on whole-child education. Our broad, whole-child approach means that we interweave traditional articles about education with useful information on children's emotional, social, and physical well-being.

As a parent, I know personally that the Web can be overwhelming to search. It's easy to find screen after screen of information, yet hard to find the right reference at the right time. Thus, as a child-development professional, I am committed to building education.com for busy parents who need a reliable one-stop search portal.

You can rest assured that our reference articles are evidenced-based and/or represent current consensus opinion of education and developmental experts.   Education.com offers reference articles generously contributed from the nation's most prestigious non-profit national associations, institutes, and councils.

We hope that you stop by education.com again and again. You will find  the resources necessary to raise a healthy and productive child—one eager and well-equipped to face the challenges of the 21st century. Whether you need advice on kindergartens, colleges, ADHD, music lessons, or strategies on dealing with the class bully, we want to make sure you get sound advice and helpful counsel.
