A few words about me...
Hello Education.com readers! I am very excited to have joined this forum as an Expert to help assist parents, caregivers and educators.
I am a the owner of www.Signingfamilies.com as well as very busy School Psychologist. Many days I am teaching sign language and have recently created a DVD that is nationally distributed ("Baby, Toddler and Preschool Sign Language" is the title) . In September 2009 I released in conjunction with Shara Lawrence-Weiss a book to help children learn to count to ten in sign language and with English and Spanish text. Currently, I am working on a project to help low verbal and non verbal children to communicate.
I also have been working within the fields of special education, multi-cultural education and parent/staff training for more than two decades. I enjoy working with all age groups and I mean ALL age groups. I have taught sign language to babies up to senior citizens.
I am married and have two young adult "children". I have personally experienced what it is like to have children with different learning styles.
I hope that my expertise from working with families, educators and others will be of some benefit to you.
Curious about sign language or want to learn more about my company then feel free to check out www.SigningFamilies.com We have several signs for you to learn. Want to learn about sign language materials? Feel free to contact me via my website or visit SIGNING FAMILIES on Facebook Fan Pages. Also, I am on Twitter as LouiseAsl.
